We engage, empower, and improve life for residents of Portsmouth through technology.

Our team makes sure the networks, computers, and systems that support the City are secure and effective.

OUR CORE WORK

INFRASTRUCTURE

The technology infrastructure is the City’s foundation for communication. This includes devices, connectivity, servers, and software. Our technology infrastructure is essential to all government operations. In the 21st century, it’s as essential as electricity and roads.

ENTERPRISE APPLICATIONS

City of Portsmouth departments recognize the benefits of modern tools and technology. We support City employees who serve the citizens and focus on their needs. Instead of struggling with old technology, City workers can help residents more effectively with up-to-date equipment and applications.

DIGITAL ENGAGEMENT AND SERVICES

As the needs of Portsmouth residents change, so must City technology. Information Technology Services is committed to offering services that run smoothly and meet expectations. New technology enabled ways of communicating have provided a myriad of pathways for residents to get involved with the City of Portsmouth.

DATA AND ANALYTICS

Data analytics can improve transparency and track of our progress on projects for the City. Through the deployment of new technologies and databases Information Technology and all City departments can focus time and resources on areas where improvements can have impact.

CYBER SECURITY

Information Technology Services prioritizes cyber security in every system deployed and ensures that staff are well trained in cyber security awareness. We spend significant amounts of time staying current with risks as they evolve and respond with corrective actions to ensure sensitive data held by the City is protected.
