DPW Hosts Banfield Road Traffic-Calming Public Input Meeting Nov 18

The City of Portsmouth Public Works Department is hosting a public input meeting via Zoom to discuss potential traffic calming measures for Banfield Road. The meeting is Wednesday, November 18 at 6:30 pm. To participate by Zoom, advance registration is required. For the registration information, click here.

Work is currently underway on the Banfield Road Improvements Project which includes roadway drainage and safety upgrades, as well pavement reconstruction. This meeting will discuss future roadway modifications aimed at reducing vehicular speeds. The implementation of such measures is dependent upon available funding. City staff will present various traffic calming strategies and invite residents and stakeholders to weigh in. The discussion is intended to begin building consensus on the necessary and appropriate measures.
