Public Meeting on March 27th to review design of Peverly Hill Road improvements

March 27, 2019

City staff, along with their design engineers from McFarland Johnson, will be hosting a public meeting at the Department of Public Works at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27th to review preliminary design plans for Peverly Hill Road.

Portsmouth received federal funding for the engineering, design and construction of sidewalks, bike lanes and drainage improvements on Peverly Hill Road; several design alternatives were presented at past public meetings to give interested parties a chance to provide their input before the preliminary design began in earnest.

Residents in the Peverly Hill Road area are highly encouraged to attend this meeting to view the design plans aimed to improve the features and safety of this area. After preliminary plans are completed, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, who will be funding 80 percent of the project, will need to approve the preliminary design, which will then allow the City to begin the right-of-way acquisition process.
