Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG)

The CDBG Program is a flexible grant program from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. CDBG programs work to develop viable urban communities by providing decent affordable housing, suitable living environments, and services to the more vulnerable in our communities. New Hampshire Housing (NHHFA)

NHHFA promotes, finances, and supports affordable housing for Granite State residents. The agency offers safe, fixed rate mortgages; rental assistance for low-income families and individuals; and financing for the development of quality, affordable rental housing. To learn more Click Here.

Historic Tax Credit (HTC)

The HTC is a federal credit and amounts to 20% of the qualified rehabilitation expenses in a project.  If a building is listed on or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, and will have an income-producing use, it may qualify for the HTC if the rehabilitation work is substantial and retains the historic character of the building.  For more information on the HTC, Click Here.  For more information about using the HTC for Affordable Housing projects, Click Here.
