Master Plan

The City's Master Plan is a planning document designed to guide land use and development within Portsmouth. Under New Hampshire state law, the Planning board is required to prepare and periodically amend and update the Master Plan. The Planning Board adopted Portsmouth's current Master Plan in February 2017.

The Master Plan is a great opportunity for the City to reflect on how Portsmouth has changed over the past decade, and think about what we want as a community moving forward. It is a chance for the Planning Board to adopt a comprehensive vision for the future which has been endorsed by the community.
