Youth Summer Basketball League

The Portsmouth Police Department acting in a Community Partnership with the Portsmouth Recreation Department will be sponsoring the Summer Youth Basketball league this year for boys and girls who are currently in grades 5, 6, and 7.

Children who are residents of Portsmouth, Greenland, Rye, New Castle, and Newington are eligible to play.

There will be three opportunities for sign ups, and organizational practices on the following dates:

MONDAY MAY 29TH  6:00PM (BOYS) 7:30PM (GIRLS)
TUESDAY JUNE 13TH 6:00PM (BOYS) 7:30PM (GIRLS)
MONDAY JUNE 19TH 6:00PM (BOYS) 7:30PM (GIRLS)

 

Opening night is Sunday June 25th. The season will continue through early August. Games will be played on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at the Connie Bean Rec Center located at 155 Parrot Avenue, Portsmouth, NH 03801. Times of the games to be determined, depending on the number of participating teams.

The fee is $75.00 per player, and will go towards the overall program cost to include: player’s shirts, playoffs, referee fees, and 1st place prizes. Please make checks or money orders payable to the “Portsmouth Rec Dept.- Summer Basketball League”. Cash is accepted during in-person registration. Fees and registrations forms are due by June 19th 2017.
