DWI Crash and Arrest

Shortly before 2:00 AM Portsmouth officers responded to the intersection of Congress Street and Maplewood Avenue for an abandoned vehicle with heavy damage in the middle of the roadway. Officers on scene were able to determine the operator had fled the area. A short time later the following subject called Portsmouth Communications and stated his truck had been stolen;

Mr. Lamprey refused to meet with police but officers were able to locate him on foot in the area of Islington Street. Subsequent investigation led to his arrest on charges of Conduct After an Accident, Driving While Intoxicated and False Report of Stolen Vehicle. Further investigation determined the truck had struck a cement light pole and street sign in the area of the Memorial Bridge.

Mr. Lamprey was released on personal recognizance bail with a date to appear in Portsmouth District Court on January 13th, 2020.
