All programs are free and open to PPL cardholders.
THE KICKOFF. Monday, June 23rd. Four Tree Island. 12 to 2pm. Sign-ups begin for the G'day for Reading summer reading program. Hop on over to beautiful Four Tree Island to play games, listen to stories, have your face painted, go on a walkabout,
and have fun. Bring a lunch….dessert will be served. Fun for all ages! Rain date is Tuesday, June 24th.
G’DAY FOR READING SUMMER READING PROGRAM. June 23rd –August 9th. Recommended for ages 4 and up. Sign up at
the Kickoff or any day after in the Library. Spend time reading. Keep track of your time on a G'day for Reading log. Earn
coupons to spend in The Outback summer reading store. You can choose to do the program for all 6 weeks, or for as many
weeks or days as you prefer.
THE OUTBACK SUMMER READING STORE. A store just for kids in the G'day for Reading program. Offers merchandise to
entice even the most reluctant readers! Run by teens. Opens July 7th. Check the calendar for hours. Children’s Program Room.
READING BUDDIES…FOR BUDDING READERS. Drop in 10-11am. Tuesdays through Saturdays from June 25th to July 19th.
Older kids will be on hand to read with younger buddies. Beginning readers can practice reading. Pre-readers can enjoy being
read to. Reading time counts for G’day for Reading program. Takes place in Youth Services.
MAKE & TAKE ACTIVITIES. Drop in and create an Australian-themed craft in our Activity Room. Check the calendar for specific days, times and projects. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
RONALD’S “SUNSATIONAL READING SHOW”. Tuesday, July 22nd. 1:30-2pm. Come meet Ronald in person and enjoy some “reading” entertainment. All ages. Levenson Community Room.
SPCA VISIT. Monday, June 30th. 2pm. Ages 5 & up. Learn about the SPCA. See some of their animals and learn how to be a responsible pet owner. Levenson Community Room.
WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS: CREATURES DOWN UNDER. Wednesday, July 16th. 1:30-2:30 pm. Ages 5 & up. Come see a
baby wallaby! Also, meet up-close and learn about other live animals from Australia. Levenson Community Room.
SUMMER SING-ALONG. Thursday, July 17th. 4 pm. All ages. Join us in the courtyard for some guitar-accompanied singing fun with local author and song writer Dennis Kleinman. In case of rain, the event will be held in the Levenson Community Room.
DIDGERIDOO WORKSHOP. Wednesday, July 23rd. 1:30 -2:30 pm. Ages 8 & up. Didgeridoo specialist Joseph Carringer will
play and tell about this unique Australian instrument. Then make and play your own didgeridoo! Registration is required.

G.WILLIKERS! FAMILY GAMES NIGHT. Thursday, July 24th. 6-8 pm. Our friends at G.Willikers! will be bringing all sorts of fun games to play at the Library. Fun for the whole family!
“ BREAKING DAWN” RELEASE PARTY. Saturday, August 2nd. 9pm-Midnight . Ages 12 & up. Celebrate the release of
Stephenie Meyer’s final book in the Twilight series. Registration is required. Levenson Community Room.
TEEN RECYCLED FASHION. Monday – Thursday, July 14th-17th. 10am-noon. Ages 12 & up. Things can be better the second
time around. Make an old t-shirt into a new bag or...? Registration is required. Boys, don't be shy! Hilton Garden Room.
TEEN PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP. Mon.July 28th, Wed.July 30th, & Fri. August 1st. 10am–noon. Ages 12 & up. Quick,
before they’re extinct, come use a film camera and learn how to tell an interesting story with pictures. Photograph someone
you know, or use costumes and props to create a visual story. Registration is required. Hilton Garden Room.
TEEN POETRY WORKSHOP. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, August 4th – 7th (10am–noon). Poetry Slam Thursday August 7th (6–8pm). Ages 14 & up. Got something to say? Write it out! Create poetry through guided exercises and the study of contemporary poets. Once we’ve perfected our work, we will showcase it at the Poetry Slam Open Mic on Thursday night.
All writing levels are welcome. Registration is required. Hilton Garden Room.
