Portsmouth’s GIS Program is responsible for managing the city's geographic information systems (GIS): hardware, software, and applications that allow staff to create, store, manage, access, visualize and use geographic information. The GIS Program staff collaborate with all departments of the city to eliminate redundancy in dataset creation and maintenance and to provide easy access to data for city personnel and officials.
