Recycling Information
Recycling Center Address
Located behind the Public Works facility at 680 Peverly Hill Road. Portsmouth residents may bring their trash, recyclables, bulky waste and yard waste to the Recycling Center.
The Recycling Center hours of operation are:
- Tuesday 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- Wednesday 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m
- Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
This service is exclusively for Portsmouth residents, who must display a Recycling Center vehicle sticker issued by the Department of Public Works.

Mandatory recycling and separation of waste (i.e. wood or metal waste) is required.
Public Works retains the right to discontinue providing this service to any resident or contractor abusing the services or in violation of the City Solid Waste Ordinances.
