National Community Development Week (CD Week) provides the opportunity for communities like Portsmouth to highlight the impact of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program in a weeklong celebration with Congress, program partners and participants, and the public. The objective of CD Week is to educate the community and Congressional members on CDBG programs and projects, their impact on the community and the importance of program funding.
