STUDENT SELF-SCHEDULING WINDOW FOR TASC

The student self-scheduling window for TASC will open at the beginning of TASC today and will remain open until Monday morning at 10. Monday is NOT a Mentor Day so students be please be sure to schedule yourself everyday next week. Teachers scheduling students for interventions, should lock those appointments. Any schedule changes needed after Monday, morning at 10, will need to be done by a teacher.

 

CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to the PHS Drama Department on an amazing trip to the Imagine National Theatre Competition in LA Feb 1-3.

 

-This was the inaugural year for the "Imagine" musical theatre competition.  imagine2019.com

-We competed against schools and theatre groups from all over the U.S.  

-Adjudicators included Disney artists as well as performers on Broadway & National Tours, film, and television.  

-Competition included clinics with the adjudicators immediately following each performance.  The competition weekend also included a master class with Reggie De Leon from the Broadway company of Aladdin, and Vocal & Dance workshops at Disneyland.     

-Students had to audition for me to be cast in the solos, duets, and ensemble pieces.

-Material was selected by the students in collaboration with Mr. Caple

-Seven students were selected from a cattle-call on the first night of the competition to perform in a production number at the awards banquet.  Liam Blanchard, Zach Ledoux, Gavin Blonda, Teagan Burke, Riley Emery, Siara Carrillo-Tracey, Suzie Scarf

GRANITE STATE RESPECT WEEK

Good Morning, today is the last day of PHS Respect.  Thank You for your participation and engagement this week.  Your feedback on school values and healthy relationships has been amazing.  Today we invite you to come sign our respect banner in the old foyer at lunch  and make a commitment to honor our school values and healthy relationships. As a member of Clipper Nation YOU have the power to lead with respect and prevent violence and harassment in our school.  

 

SPRING TENNIS BOYS

There will be a meeting for all boys interested in playing tennis this Spring today, February 15 in the gym at 12:00.

 

BASEBALL WORKOUTS SIGN UP

Baseball workouts: sign up outside Coach Gladu’s room (329). Friday nights 6:30-7:30 at Seacoast Sports Club

 

WOMEN’S LEGION

Women’s Legion meets every Friday in Ms. LaVallee’s room 205 at lunch.  All are welcome!

 

AUDITIONS FOR THE PHS SPRING MUSICAL

Auditions for the PHS spring musical, Tuck Everlasting, will be Tuesday, 2/19 after school. 

Dance Call (Required)- 3:30-4:15

Vocal Auditions- 4:15-6:15

*Sign up for an audition time outside Mr.Caple’s office

Callbacks- 6:30-8:00

*you will be either asked to stay for callbacks or released immediately after your audition

-Please prepare 16 bars (ballad) OR 32 bars (uptempo) in the Folk/Pop style of the show. You will sing unaccompanied. 

-Also, please prepare a SHORT poem (10 lines or less).

 

TASC- ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Interested in hearing more from students that attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Program in June for sophomores?  Come hear from students that have attended. TASC in under Science, then Mrs. George on Feb 21.  Don't miss out on this great opportunity!

 

SPRING TENNIS GIRLS

There will be a meeting for all girls interested in playing tennis this Spring on Wednesday Feb. 20th in the gym.

 

INTERACT CLUB-DONATIONS FOR HAVEN

Haven provides 24 hour support services for domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking, for men, women and children.  The Interact Club is asking for donations from people throughout our community.  Interact will be in the Old Foyer during lunch this week accepting donations of cash or gift cards.  Every little bit helps.

Attention seniors: If you have a sibling(s) at PHS, the yearbook is in need of a current picture of you and your sibling(s).  Please send to phsyearbook@sau52.org or stop by Mr. Harrison's room with your sibling to have a professional picture taken. Thanks! 

 

PHS WINTER CARNIVAL

Come one, come all to the Greatest Show on Earth or at least in the western hemisphere! today Eco Club will presenting the first annual PHS Winter Carnival. Starting at 6:00 there will be plenty of fun, and at 7:00 there will be a free showing of the Greatest Showman!  Come enjoy great food, carnival games and a chance to have your fortune read! Meet the ring master and get your picture taken, as well as dancers, jugglers and tightrope walkers!   So come one, come all because this is the GREATEST SHOW!
