Strength & Stretch
Using hand weights or resistance bands (equipment provided). No experience required, great for those new to weight training or those simply needing a less intimidating instructor led environment. Classes designed for 50 and above, offered in the fall on Tue/Fri from 9-9:45 am. Fee is $5.00 per class and instructor is Katy Brandin who has been teaching in the seacoast since 1989 and certified in senior fitness.
Fit over 50
This very popular senior class is for ages 50 and over. Aerobic exercise done to period music: includes 10 minutes of warm up, 20 minutes of cardio, balance or strength and cool down. Classes in the fall are held Mon/Wed @ 9:00-9:45 am. Fee is $5.00 per class, taught by Katy Brandin.
A strength training and balance exercise program that helps prevent and reverse osteoporosis. Bone builders improves muscle strength, increase bone density and balance, enhances energy and well being. Fully trained RSVP volunteers lead free, twice weekly classes (donations gratefully accepted). Participants may join an on-going class at any time, after registering with us and obtaining their physician’s signed permission. Monday and Thursdays from 1:00-2:00 pm.
