Bike + Barre
25 minute sweat-fest on spin bike burns mega calories followed by standing barre influenced by classical ballet tones and tightens lower body. Strength & Stretch
Using hand weights or resistance bands (equipment provided). No experience required, great for those new to weight training or those simply needing a less intimidating instructor led environment. Classes designed for 50 and above, offered in the fall on Tue/Fri from 9-9:45 am. Fee is $5.00 per class and instructor is Katy Brandin who has been teaching in the seacoast since 1989 and certified in senior fitness.
Fit over 50
This very popular senior class is for ages 50 and over. Aerobic exercise done to period music: includes 10 minutes of warm up, 20 minutes of cardio, balance or strength and cool down. Classes in the fall are held Mon/Wed @ 9:00-9:45 am. Fee is $5.00 per class, taught by Katy Brandin.
A strength training and balance exercise program that helps prevent and reverse osteoporosis. Bone builders improves muscle strength, increase bone density and balance, enhances energy and well being. Fully trained RSVP volunteers lead free, twice weekly classes (donations gratefully accepted). Participants may join an on-going class at any time, after registering with us and obtaining their physician’s signed permission. Monday and Thursdays from 1:00-2:00 pm. Tai Chi is an internal martial art originating in China and is widely practiced for health, exercise and relaxation benefits. Tai Chi is a meditation in motion and consists of a series of slow, graceful movements. Beginner class is held Thrursdays from 11:00 am -12:00 pm and advance classes are held on Thursdays from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Class fee is $110 for 10 weeks. Get on your feet and move to the music! A mixture of Jazz, Hip Hop, Kick Boxing, Line Dancing, Dance Video and some moves instructor Tia Pike just made up! Learn easy to follow routines to a variety of popular songs. Classes are on Thursday evenings 7:00-8:00 PM. Class fee is $5.00.
Learn the dance of romance. The class will go over all the basics to get you out on the dance floor. Classes are on Wednesday starting at 5:30 pm. Class fee $55 per person for a 6 week session. MEN'S LEAGUE BASKETBALL
Registration: Spinnaker Point Adult Center beginning Monday, September 11 and ending on Friday October 13 from 6:00 am - 7:00 pm.
Mandatory: Organizational night for first year players on Monday, October 16th at 7:00 pm. You will be required to play in a scrimmage game this night.
Fee: $90 for residents, $100 for non-residents
Brief Description: For men who are 18 years of age and older and out of high school who want to play in an organized and competitive league. Everyone who registers will be placed on a team. Teams are put together with player coaches based on skill levels. Games are played on Monday and Thursday nights. The league will begin on October 30 and continue through February.
