Book Discussion Club
Group Discussion of popular books on the first Monday of each month, 11:30am-1:00pm @ the Senior Activity Center
February 5 - The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
London is emerging from the shadow of World War II, and writer Juliet Ashton is looking for her next book subject. Who could imagine that she would find it in a letter from a man she's never met from Guernsey.
March 5 - The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
The stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France. A heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women.
Everyone is welcome to join us to discuss the books (or just listen to the discussion).
Call to reserve your spot at 610-4433.
Dull Men's Club
Friday's 11:00am-12:00noon beginning Friday, February 2
Group meets every Friday - Drop-ins ok. A great opportunity for men to hang out with a good bunch of guys and chat about issues of great or little importance over a cup of coffee and donuts. If you have a good (or bad) joke to share, a tale to tell, hobby to chat about, or just like to listen, then plan to join the DMC - Dull Men's Club. Serious politics and religion are strictly verboten.
It's time to realize that DULL is not just another 4-letter word!
Club will be free. Charge for shirt and hat will be forthcoming when group is established. Member will rotate the donut responsibility.
