Preschool Soccer

Preschool soccer is a fun and non-competitive program for boys and girls ages 3, 4 & 5. It is designed to introduce children to soccer for the first time through drills with preschool-sized balls and nets. The program will meet at the new Recreation Field Complex on Campus Drive on Saturday mornings. Players will receive a shirt as part of the program. Each preschool participant must have an adult on the field with them at all times.

Creative Drama with NH Theatre Project 


This fun, beginners program introduces children to the world of acting and theater. Each week NHTP Teaching Artists will use new theater games, creative exercises, improvisation, storytelling and imagination exercises to guide the exploration and practice of acting, and learn basic acting techniques and stage directions.
At the end of the nine-week program, children will also have experience building characters, working with environments and costumes, reading and writing scripts, and performing. Teaching artists will develop short scenes based on the students' interests, which will be rehearsed and performed on the final day for family and friends.
Classes are held at the NHTP Theater, 959 Islington St #3, Portsmouth.

USTA Tennis in the Parks

Led by an approved USTA Net Generation tennis coach, the program will focus on developing the skills to serve, rally and play - so it’s perfect for beginners and first-time players. Once the skills are there, participants will play fun matches with other players in the program. This program uses modified tennis balls, age-appropriate rackets, court sizes, and the latest fun and engaging activities that help players successfully learn and play the game quicker. First time participants receive and keep their own
racket and program t-shirt!

Milk & Cookies: Cooking & Nutrition Classes

American Red Cross Babysitting Course


For ages 11-15, this course is designed to help participants develop leadership skills, learn basic child care and first aid, help keep themselves safe, and learn how to help children behave. 
In order to pass the class and be certified, participants must
- Attend both classes,
- Participate in all skill sessions and activities,
- Demonstrate competency in all observable skills.

American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED 


The First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care
for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back
injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for
victims. Successful students will receive a certificate for First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
