Arrest Multiple Charges

Shortly after 7:00 AM Portsmouth Police were called to Coastal Truck and Auto Body on Lafayette Road for a report of a possible theft in progress. On scene investigation determined the suspect had fled on foot into a wooded area behind the business. Portsmouth officers, including K-9 Unit Officer Aaron Stacy and K-9 Axe searched an extensive wooded area and the suspect was able to be taken into custody a short distance from the scene.

The subject was arrested and subsequently identified as;

         Carl Sutkus Jr.   

         29 Years old

         Stratham, NH

 Sutkus was charged with the following;

        1) Criminal Trespass

        2) 2 Counts Criminal Mischief, misdemeanor

        3) 1 Count Criminal Mischief, felony

        4) 1 Count Receiving Stolen Property, misdemeanor

        5) 1 Count Receiving Stolen Property, felony

        6) Possession Burglary Tools

        7) Breach of Bail

 As a result of the Breach of Bail charge, Sutkus was held with no bail pending his arraignment. Also assisting in the investigation and search were the Portsmouth Police Investigative Division and Greenland Police.
