Portsmouth PD's Covid-19 Response

March 17, 2020

The Portsmouth Police Department is committed to providing the best service we can to the public. In an effort to prevent the potential spread of the Coronavirus, the Department is taking steps aimed towards protecting our officers and the general public. We will be limiting face-to-face interactions when possible. Until further notice, we will not be taking walk-ins for applicant fingerprint services to the public. For records requests, please call (603) 610-7446 and arrangements will be made over the phone. For all non-emergencies we ask that you call the Department and ask to speak to an officer.

Public Safety continues to be our top priority and the Portsmouth Police Department will continue to respond to all crimes in progress and crimes against persons in the same manner. Our officers are encouraged to practice social distancing. This is out of an abundance of caution to keep our staff and the public safe. We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation!
