Handprint Party:

SKIP THE STRAW

Thursday May 10

6:30 – 8:30 PM

•    Join with others in moving toward a cultural shift with one simple act.

•    See the big picture of single use plastics through the eyes of Jen Kennedy, CEO of the Blue Ocean Society.

•    Hear from Jonathan Blakeslee, owner of the White Heron restaurant about some successes and challenges.

•    Learn about Rye Elementary School’s school wide straw challenge!

•    Have an opportunity to define your own personal action regarding single use plastic.

Handprint parties are hosted by the Seacoast Sustainability Alliance in partnership with the Portsmouth Public Library. Together, we will examine how to reduce our footprint and increase our handprint to make a positive impact on the environment. At each party, you will learn new information, make new connections, and walk away with specific actions to take in your own life.
