ONLINE NaNoWriMo WriMa (Writing Marathons)
Sundays November 1 (NEW! November 8 and November 22!) & November 29
1 – 4 PM

Happy National Novel Writing Month! Those participating in the NaNoWriMo challenge, or any writers, are invited to join Portsmouth Public Library for two writing marathons, made up of smaller writing sprints.

The first Sunday of November we will open a Zoom room so that the community can participate in writing sprints. Writing sprints consist of a 45-minute writing period, followed up by a 15-minute discussion on goals/what writers have accomplished, publishing/editing questions, and more. During the writing period of 45 minutes we will play music to help spur some creative energy and create a productive environment. The first event will be 3 hours long so that we can fit in 3 good sprints, and encourage writers to work with little to no distractions in a community environment that creates creative accountability!

On the final Sunday of November we will do a shorter round of sprints, and then have an hour-long discussion about future goals, and the final steps are in finishing the first draft of a novel.

No registration required. Open to adults and teens!
