Handprint Party:

How to Use Reusable Bags

Thursday February 8

6:30 – 8:30 PM

  • Bring an old t-shirt and learn to make your own DIY reusable bag!
  • Bring your extra reusable bags to share with others!
  • Learn how the city of Portsmouth is encouraging reusable bag use!
  • Get a voucher for a FREE City of Portsmouth reusable bag!
  • Share tips for using (and remembering) reusable bags – at the grocery store and beyond!

Join the Seacoast Sustainability Alliance, the PHS Eco Club, City Councilor Josh Denton, and the City of Portsmouth’s Environmental Planner and Sustainability Coordinator Peter Britz, to learn how shopping with reusable bags makes for a sustainable future.

Handprint parties are hosted by the Seacoast Sustainability Alliance in partnership with the Portsmouth Public Library. Together, we will examine how to reduce our footprint and increase our handprint to make a positive impact on the environment. At each party, you will learn new information, make new connections, and walk away with specific actions to take in your own life. Visit us on the second Thursday of each month for a new topic!
