The Pastel Society of New Hampshire (PSNH) operates solely for educational purposes, setting standards of excellence in exhibitions in the pastel category. PSNH unites pastelists through membership in the society. Its mission is focused on educating the public about the permanence and beauty of the medium and communicating the growing renaissance and appreciation of pastels. PSNH offers workshops, critiques, classes, demonstrations and scholarships as part of their educational program. It channels news and ideas about pastels, artists and events through their web site and other publications. PSNH holds members’ shows at galleries and offers an annual national juried exhibition which is open to both members and non-members.
