Genealogy Workshops

Portsmouth Public Library hosts a genealogy workshop on third Sundays at 2 PM. Presented by the library’s Special Collections staff and members of the Ranger Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), these events are free, open to the public, and appropriate for all levels of interest and experience. We hope you will join us!

Genealogy Workshop:
Genealogy Roundtables - A Session of Knowledge Sharing

Sunday March 17 | 2-4 PM

Come with questions or share your own research experience and stories in a conversational setting.  Now is your chance!  Moderators will be present at each of 6 tables to discuss the following topics with you in 15 minute sessions.

  • Brick Walls
  • DNA
  • PPL Resources/Databases
  • Writing a family history
  • Daughters of the American Revolution(DAR)
  • Probate/Legal document research

Be prepared for small group discussions and knowledge sharing. You are sure to learn a tip or two from our moderators and from each other!

Open to all. No sign up necessary.
