The City Clerk’s Office has mailed or emailed dog license renewal notices to the 2500 Portsmouth dog owners on record. Renewal can be done by mail or online. Those who wish to renew in person can do so at the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall. 1 Junkins Ave. Portsmouth. (603) 610-7245. Office hours are: Monday 8am to 6pm. Tuesday-Thursday 8am to 4:30pm. Friday 8am to 1pm
Those who need to apply for a dog license for the first time will find more information and the application here.
The City Clerk is also taking the opportunity of dog license renewals to remind dog owners that dog waste must be disposed of properly. The purpose of picking up and disposing dog waste is to keep it from polluting stormwater with excess nitrogen. Take it home and throw the bag in the trash.
