"Welcome Home" End of Iraq War Parade
A "Welcome Home" End of Iraq War Parade celebrating the return of all recently returned veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan - and everyone who supported them during deployment - is scheduled Sunday, July 8, to begin from the City Hall lower lot area at 2 p.m. and proceed through downtown.
In addition, local businesses and community groups are being invited to participate in a Job & Services Fair for returning veterans, with this event planned at the conclusion of the parade.
Both events are being coordinated by a volunteer committee. The deadline for bands and walking unit entries is June 30. Floats and towed trailers are prohibited.
