Carbon Challenge Organizational Meeting Thursday
PORTSMOUTH – The City of Portsmouth is inviting individuals, groups and local businesses to an organizational meeting Thursday (May 28) for the campaign to spread the word about urging Portsmouth residents to take the NH Carbon Challenge survey that could save them over $800 a year.
The meeting begins at 4 p.m. in the Levenson Room of the Library at 175 Parrot Avenue.
The cities of Portsmouth and Keene have launched a friendly competition to see which one can inspire the largest percentage of residents to take the brief survey at www.nhcarbonchallenge.org, which gives suggestions on how to reduce a household’s carbon footprint and save money. The campaign is part of the City’s commitment to sustainability and being one of the first ecomunicipalities on the East Coast.
Those who cannot attend the meeting but would like to help spread the word as an individual or member of an organization contact Sustainability Coordinator Peter Britz at 610-7215 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
