PORTSMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL
Veterans Diploma Program
If you are a veteran of World War II or the Korean
War who left Portsmouth High School to enlist or
were drafted into the service, and did not complete
your high school education, you may now be
eligible to receive your high school diploma
under a new program established through the
Portsmouth School Department. Qualified candidates
may receive their graduation certification during
the next ceremony held in June.
One requirement of this program is that all veteran
candidates meet briefly with a Veterans Diploma
Committee to share their experiences of leaving
high school and joining the military.
If you know of an individual who qualifies for this
program or if you would like more information,
please contact Dr. Robert J. Lister,
Superintendent of Schools, at 431-5080. We ask
that all requests for participation be made prior to
June 1st of each year.
