Things Students Wish They Had Known Before Starting Eighth Grade

The homework is different from sixth and seventh grade. You have it almost every day, and you need to save time at night because you will have more of it than last year.

It is so important to be prepared for class and be organized. You have to learn to study properly and effectively.

Not all teachers accept late work, and if you get behind it is very hard to get caught up.

Eat a big breakfast, because eighth graders have a late lunch.

Not all teachers pass out pens and pencils.

You have to work harder this year to get good grades so be prepared.

Time goes by faster and the older you get, the faster it goes.

There's not much time during the day to socialize, so do an extracurricular activity with your friends.

Be prepared for schedule changes.

You will change a lot this year, and your friends will change too.

Boy-girl relationships can be really challenging.

I still have the rest of my life to live.

It's a lot of fun to be an eighth grader!
