Guidance Information

The Portsmouth Middle School Guidance staff members are always ready to assist students, parents and teachers in a wide variety of ways. From registering new students, processing grades and report cards to providing counseling and consultation, there is always someone available to help. Parents are invited to call at anytime to set up appointments with teachers or counselors or to ask any questions they may have regarding any aspect of the school day.

Student Registration
For all questions relative to student registration or withdrawal, please call our guidance secretary, Laura Pitts.

Homework Policy
If your child is out of school for two days or longer, you may contact our guidance secretary, Laura Pitts, at extension 226, by 8:00 AM. (Early notice is required because of teacher schedules). Ms. Pitts will gather homework for you to pick up in the main office between 2:30 and 3:30 PM. Some classroom work is impossible to send home. In these cases, your student can make arrangements with his or her teacher to stay after school when he or she returns.
