VIRUS WARNING:
VIRUS WARNING: As you may already be aware from various news sources, the W32.Netsky.D@mm email worm has been spreading over the Internet for the last several days. Due to an increased rate of submissions, Symantec Security Response has upgraded W32.
Netsky.D@mm from a Category 3 to a Category 4 as of March 1, 2004. W32.Netsky.D@mm is a mass-mailing worm that is a variant of W32.Netsky.C@mm. The worm scans drives C through Z for email addresses and sends itself to those that are found.
The from address is spoofed and does not reflect the actual sender.
The Subject, Body, and Attachment names vary. The attachment will have a .pif file extension. For more information on W32.Netsky.D@mm see:

In order to protect yourself and the PSD network, please observe the following precautions:
- Delete all email messages with a .pif or .zip attachment, regardless of the sender.
- Delete all suspect email.
- Do not reply to the sender of any of the above messages.
If you have any questions concerning this virus or believe you have already been infected, please contact "support@portsmouth.k12.nh.us".
In addition, if you receive ANY virus warnings or advisories that do not originate from this address, please forward them to "support@portsmouth.k12.nh.us".
The Computer Services Department will verify and forward all valid virus advisories.
