UPCOMING SENIOR LUNCHES
The next Senior Luncheon is on Tuesday, December 10. Journey Song will sing your holiday favorites. There will not be a Thursday Senior Luncheon this month due to the holiday. Senior Luncheons are hosted by Families First and the City of Portsmouth. Lunches are $4 per person and take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Community Campus at 100 Campus Drive in Portsmouth. Arrive early to chat with friends. SENIOR SUPPER CLUB
Join other senior folks for the annual Recycled Yankee Swap to celebrate the holiday season. Find a "recycled" gift from your home, wrap it and bring it to Supper Club on Tuesday, December 17. A The idea is to not spend any money. Last year the Recycled Yankee Swap was a big hit and we can't wait to host it again this year. A Ham dinner will be served. Senior Supper Club is an informal gathering of seniors at Living Innovations. Following the 17th, Senior Supper Club will be on break for the winter season. Meals are $7 per person. Be sure to RSVP by the Monday before each dinner with Cindi Shanley at (603) 531-0767. Living Innovations is located at 1950 Lafayette Road.
Portsmouth Alzheimer's Cafe takes place the fourth Monday of every month from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Community Campus Green Bean Cafe. December's Café is Monday, December 23. An Alzheimer's Cafe is an informal, welcoming place where people living with dementia, along with their care partners and family, can come together for a casual gathering each month. Games, crafts, and snacks are available. Enjoy conversations with new friends who are experiencing similar circumstances. No reservations are necessary. This program is a collaboration between Families First, City of Portsmouth, Mark Wentworth Home, and ServiceLink. Holiday Lunch Special
Rockingham Nutrition and Meals on Wheels program invites you to join them for a holiday lunch on Wednesday, December 11 at 11:30am at the Community Room in Atlantic Heights. Roast Beef, smashed potatoes, ginger glazed carrot and eggnog cheesecake will be served. $2 suggested donation. Reservations are required by calling Caren Gallagher at (603) 431-0561. Atlantic Heights is located on Bedford Way off of Kearsarge Way in Portsmouth.

Senior Services Steering Committee
In January, 2012, the Mark Wentworth Home convened a steering Committee known as the Greater Portsmouth Area Senior Center Steering Committee. The Committee developed and released a report in May, 2012. A link to the report can be found below.
