COLUMBUS DAY

City Hall offices, including the Library, Connie Bean Recreation Center and Portsmouth Public Schools, will be closed Monday, Oct. 8, in recognition of the Columbus Day holiday. There will be no change to Monday's curbside collection of trash and recyclables. Trash and recycling will be picked up in the business district at 5 p.m. However, yard waste will not be collected on Monday and the Recycling Center is closed. Spinnaker Point Rec Center will have normal hours. Portsmouth Schools also will be closed Friday, Oct. 5, for a Teacher
Convention. City Hall will be open until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
