Project Description: This project will construct traffic signals at Griffin Road and Islington Street, upgrade the traffic signal and roadway geometry at Peverly Hill Road/Plains Avenue, close off Plains Avenue at Peverly Hill Road to improve the safety of the children using the playground and the ball field by decreasing the traffic volume on Plains Avenue, add roadway medians as a traffic calming measure, add double left center turn lanes to help residents gain access to their homes, adding a sidewalk along Griffin Road to the park and ride lot with a crosswalk at the park and ride, adding a sidewalk on the easterly side of Islington Street from Route 33 to Plains Avenue, the bridge over the B&M Railroad will be replaced, and drainage improvements and upgrades.
