Project # 18: Sagamore Bridge Replacement

Project Description: The Sagamore Bridge is slated for replacement starting this fall. The new bridge will be wider allowing for easier vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle use going back and forth from Portsmouth and points in Rye and New Castle. The old bridge will be taken out of service in early fall of 2013 and be opened approximately 15 months later. Posted detours will take travelers around the closed bridge.
