Project # 12 State Street Reconstruction

State Street Utilities Upgrade and Roadway Improvements

Project Update - June 20 to July 1, 2011

Traffic Detour Plan Click Here

The Final Paving installation on State Street will take place Tuesday (6/21) and Wednesday (6/22). Paving will start at the Pleasant and State Street intersection and continue down the length of State Street, toward Marcy Street. Please be alert to temporary traffic Detours signs, flaggers, and work crews.

In addition to paving, some minor work on State Street will continue the next two weeks. Minor work will include installation of benches, bike racks, & trash bins, raising the remaining drain manholes to final grade, and final adjustment to the brick sidewalks. Construction crews will need to occupy 1 to 2 parking spaces for access to work areas and some temporary single travel lane closures may be required to complete their work.

Final traffic line painting is scheduled to begin the week of 6/27 and will require lane and parking closure, and possibly some temporary traffic detours in order to complete the work. Citizens are urged to remain alert to temporary "no parking" requirements along State Street in order to facilitate final paving and traffic painting.
