Reference: Arrest of Ronald Lee Diemer
On December 30, 2006 at approximately 1:00 a.m. Officers of the Portsmouth Police Department were called to the area of Market Street Extension and Hanover Street for a report of a male subject alleged to have caused damage to a hot dog vendor’s property as well as assaulting one of the vendors.
Upon the officer’s arrival, they dealt with a heavily intoxicated male:
RONALD LEE DIEMER
Age 22,
5’10” 200 lbs
19 Newton Road
Plaistow, NH 03805.
Officers attempted to take the intoxicated Mr. Diemer into custody at which time he began to fight. Mr. Diemer assaulted three police officers during the altercation by kicking and spitting. Additional police officers and a supervisor were dispatched to the scene to assist with Mr. Diemer’s arrest. Mr. Diemer was eventually subdued with the use of a Taser.
Mr. Diemer is currently facing the following charges:
Three counts of Assault on a Police Officer (Class A Misdemeanors),
One count of Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor),
In addition to the charges listed above Mr. Diemer will be facing Simple Assault and Criminal Mischief charges for his actions prior to the arrival of police.
