Reference: Night-time Burglary of the Port City Dodge Dealership
On October 15, 2005 at approximately 1:45 AM, Officer Aaron Goodwin of the Portsmouth Police Patrol Division was performing a building check of the Port City Dodge dealer on Greenleaf Ave. The dealership had been the victim of a previous burglary.
Officer Goodwin observed a broken window to the building. He then observed a male subject leaving the area. A foot pursuit began that eventually included three other police units and a K-9.
The suspect was apprehended a short time later. The suspect is a juvenile and the identity is confidential. Investigators from the Portsmouth Police Department’s Detective Bureau are conducting an investigation of the crime and the crime scene.
