Reference: Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault arrest

On Friday, September 15th, 2006 at approximately 10:45 AM, the following individual turned himself in to the Portsmouth Police Department as a result of an arrest warrant:

Mr. Keitt was arrested as a result of an arrest warrant for:
One count of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault, contrary to NH RSA 632-A: 2,
(Class A Felony).
The Portsmouth Police Department, with the assistance of the New Hampshire State Police, conducted an investigation into an allegation that Mr. Keitt had sexually assaulted a minor in 1984. Due to this arrest, Mr. Keitt, who had been employed as a security officer at Portsmouth High School, has been barred from school property. At the time that this crime is alleged to have occurred, Mr. Keitt was not an employee of the Portsmouth School Department, and this crime is not alleged to have occurred on any school property.
Mr. Keitt was processed and released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Portsmouth District Court on October 23rd, 2006.
The affidavit in this case has been sealed in order to protect the identity of the victim.
The Portsmouth Police Department and the Portsmouth School Department will not be releasing any further information regarding this investigation.
