Reference: Criminal Mischief arrest

On August 22nd at approximately 5:30 PM, the following individual turned himself in to the Portsmouth Police Department following the issuance of an arrest warrant:
Michael A. Hatfield
Date of birth 04/16/89
72 Nathaniel Drive
Portsmouth, NH
Mr. Hatfield was arrested for 8 counts of Criminal Mischief. These charges are a result of an investigation into rocks being thrown at cars that were being driven in the area of the Route One By-Pass in Portsmouth. These incidents occurred during the month of July, when motorists reported their windshields being damaged from the rocks.
In addition to Mr. Hatfield, a 16 year old juvenile is also being charged in connection with these crimes. Because he will be petitioned to juvenile court, his identity cannot be released to the public.
Mr. Hatfield was processed at the Portsmouth Police Department and released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Portsmouth District Court on September 25th, 2006.
