Reference: August 10, 2006 - Arrest of Marlene Cummings
On August 10, 2006 at around 1:00 PM the Portsmouth Police Department Emergency Dispatch Center received a telephone call from a person who stated a bomb had been placed outside of the Hannaford grocery store.
Further information was provided by this caller in that the bomb was in a small black box and was placed to the right of the entrance of Hannaford’s.
Officers of the Portsmouth Police Department responded to the Hannaford’s grocery store, upon arrival the store management was informed of this threat.
The usual and customary business at Hannfords was interrupted while the store exterior of the business was searched.
No explosive device was located and no injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Bail has been set in the amount of $1,000 cash and Ms. Cummings will be arraigned in the Portsmouth District Court on Friday August 11, 2006 at 8:30 AM
