Reference:   Felony arrest

On Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008, the following individual was arrested by the Portsmouth Police Department as a result of an arrest warrant:

Roger W. Guilbault Jr.
Date of birth 02/08/62
No Fixed Address.

He was arrested for the following:

Felon in Possession of a Dangerous Weapon,
Theft by Unauthorized Taking (both Felonies).

This arrest is the result of an investigation that began in March of 2008, when a report of a stolen rifle was made from a Portsmouth residence.  After further investigation that included numerous interviews, an arrest warrant was completed that alleges Guilbault stole that rifle, and that he is already a convicted felon.  The rifle has since been recovered.

Guilbault was taken into custody at the Strafford County Jail, where he is currently incarcerated for felonies from the Rochester Police Department.  He was returned to the jail after being processed, and his bail was set at $25,000.  He is scheduled for a probable cause hearing in Portsmouth District Court on August 5th, 2008 at 8:30 AM.
