Reference: Underage Party arrests
Two additional arrests have been made as a result of the investigation that followed the controlled dispersal of an underage alcohol party at 1347 South Street on 5-19-07.
On 5-26-07 two suspects surrendered themselves on warrants initiated by the Portsmouth Police Department’s Family Services Division.
Svetlana Yevdokimova (5-19-90) of 304 Ocean Road Portsmouth is charged with Unlawful Possession of Alcohol and Reckless Conduct (in that she brought a keg of beer to a party attended by her high school classmates). Yevdokimova was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned in the Portsmouth District Court on June 25th, 2007.
Trevor Cherry (12-16-82) of 3020 Lafayette Road Portsmouth is charged with two counts of Prohibited Sale of Alcohol and removing a registration sticker from a keg. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned in the Portsmouth District court on June 11th, 2007.
The Portsmouth Police Department, in an effort to reduce the dangers associated with alcohol and youth, will be conducting DWI patrols, compliance checks and other enforcement activity during the prom and graduation season. It encourages everybody, especially parents, to be vigilant and report their concerns to their local police department in a safe, proactive manner.
