Reference: PAL basketball program

The Portsmouth Police Department announces that the Police Athletic League basketball program registration will begin next week at Portsmouth High School.
The league will be held at the South Playground courts located across from the Portsmouth Police Department on Junkins Avenue, every Wednesday and Friday night from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The league will begin on Wed., June 21st and will end on Friday, August 11th. The league is open to both boys and girls who live in Portsmouth and are of high school age, or have just graduated from the middle school and are going into their freshman year of high school.
Registration will begin on Friday, May 19th outside of the cafeteria at Portsmouth High School. There is a $20. registration fee, and participants will receive a team t-shirt that is included with the registration fee. The t-shirts will be distributed once team assignments have been made.
Anyone interested in playing or volunteering to coach a team is asked to contact Sgt. Corey MacDonald at 436-7100 ext. 2121.
