Reference:   New Hampshire Police K-9 Academy Annual Handler’s Dinner

The Working Dog Foundation is hosting the Fifth Annual New Hampshire Police K-9 Academy Handlers Appreciation dinner on Monday, April 23rd, 2007 at 6:00 PM at the Jarvis Center located at 40 Andrew Jarvis Drive in Portsmouth.

Police Officers and their Police K-9 partners from throughout New England will be present.  There will be a formal presentation and a humorous and informative slide show of the dogs and handlers in action, as well as dinner and music.  All proceeds from this event directly benefit the Working Dog Foundation and the New Hampshire Police K-9 Academy.

Some of the K- 9 Teams  in attendance will be from Portsmouth NH, Sanford ME, Guilford NH, Moultonboro NH, Keene NH, Dover NH, Kittery ME, Barrington NH, Rochester NH,  NH Highway Patrol, Northwood NH, Essex County MA, Methuen MA, New Durham NH and many more!

Tickets are $45.00 each, and must be pre-purchased from Officer Rebecca Hester of the Portsmouth Police Department by calling 603-610-7649.  Last year this event sold out early, so early purchasing is advised.  This is a ‘must see’ dinner event and an opportunity for the public to meet the dogs and their handlers up close and see what they do each and every day to keep our families safe.  Awards will be given out to the Handler of the Year, Patrol and Narcotics Cases of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and the Chairman’s Award (s), along with other special presentations.  Merchandise will also be on sale, with all proceeds benefiting the Working Dog Foundation.

The Working Dog Foundation is a non-profit, grass roots organization dedicated to providing grant seed monies to police departments for their K-9 programs and the daily operations of the NH Police K-9 Academy located at Pease, where over 40 teams now train.  To learn more about the WDF, please visit the web site at www.workingdog.org
