Reference: Arrest of registered sex offenders

On March 22nd, 2006 the following two individuals were arrested:
Alfred N. Dow
Date of birth 03/04/47
No permanent address
Robert Lefrenier
Date of birth 03/26/79
116 Ledgewood Drive, Apt. 9
Portsmouth, NH
Mr. Dow was taken into custody by the Portsmouth Police at Crossroads House located at 600 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, with the cooperation of the Crossroads staff. Mr. Dow was also served a trespass notice from Crossroads barring him from returning there. Mr. Dow was taken to the Portsmouth District Court where he was arraigned for the following criminal charge:
Registration of Sex Offenders, Duty to Report
Contrary to NH RSA 651-B: 9 (Class A Misdemeanor)
Mr. Dow was held on $15,000 cash bail and will be transported to the Rockingham County Jail. His criminal convictions for sex offenses are from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. His next hearing is scheduled for Portsmouth District Court on April 18th.
Mr. Lefrenier is currently in custody at the Concord Police Department, and he will be transported to the Portsmouth Police Department where he will be held for arraignment tomorrow morning in Portsmouth District Court. Mr. Lefrenier was arrested for the same criminal charge as Mr. Dow. Mr. Lefrenier’s criminal convictions for sex offenses are from the State of New Hampshire.
Both arrests are a result of investigations and arrest warrants from the Portsmouth Police Department’s Bureau of Investigative Services. These two investigations and arrests are not related to one another.
