Reference: Sexual Assault arrest
On Monday, March 12th, 2007, the Portsmouth Police Department arrested the following individual:
William J. Dawley
Date of birth 12/20/55
21 Brewster Street
Portsmouth, NH
Mr. Dawley has been charged with the following:
Sexual Assault/Forcible Fondling (Class A Misdemeanor)
Criminal Threatening/Use of a Deadly Weapon (Felony)
Criminal Restraint (Felony
)
Felon in Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (Felony)
Prohibited Sales (Class A Misdemeanor).
It is alleged that Mr. Dawley committed these crimes against a 16 year old minor in Portsmouth yesterday afternoon. Upon receiving the report of these crimes, the Portsmouth Police Department conducted an investigation involving the processing of a crime scene at Dawleys residence, as well as interviews.
Mr. Dawley was arraigned at the Portsmouth District Court this morning and is currently being held on $75,000 cash bail. His next scheduled court date is a probable cause hearing in Portsmouth District Court on March 20th, 2007 at 8:30 AM.
