Reference: Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault arrest
Date of Release: February 1st, 2006
On Wednesday, February 1st, 2006 at approximately 9:00 AM, the following individual was arrested at his residence:
James J. Miceli
Date of birth 03/04/51
188 Madison Street, Apartment 24
Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Mr. Miceli was arrested on one Felony count of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault, contrary to NH RSA 632-A:2. This arrest was a result of a joint investigation conducted by the Portsmouth Police Department’s Family Services Division, the Strafford County Attorney’s Office and the Barrington Police Department. Mr. Miceli was brought to the Portsmouth Police Department where he was processed. He was arraigned at the Portsmouth District Court this afternoon and his bail was set at $100,000 cash.
After the arraignment, Mr. Miceli was immediately turned over to the Barrington Police Department for transport to the Strafford County Jail, pending arraignment in their jurisdiction for similar criminal charges. Although no further charges are pending from the Portsmouth Police Department at this time, this multi-agency investigation is continuing.
