Reference: Child pornography arrest
Date of Release: January 6th, 2006
On January 5th, 2005 Robert W. Parker turned himself in on an arrest warrant initiated by Detective Michael Leclair of the Portsmouth Police Department. Parker was charged with Possession of Child Pornography (RSA 649:3) and Falsifying Evidence (RSA 641:6). Both charges are Class B Felonies carrying a maximum sentence of 7 years in prison and up to a $4,000 fine.
The investigation began on 11-19-05 when the Portsmouth Police received information from Parker’s roommate. A search warrant was executed and evidence was recovered. The forensic analysis of that evidence determined that Parker was in possession of child pornography. The forensic equipment used to analyze Parker’s information system was made possible through a grant from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP).
Parker (12-2-63), who currently resides at 60 Osprey Drive in Portsmouth, was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned in the Portsmouth District Court on February 16th 2006.
