Sexual Assault / Burglary

On February 20th, 2018 the Portsmouth Police Department arrested the following subject on an arrest warrant for Attempted Aggravated Sexual Assault, Burglary and Sexual Assault:

Carlos Cruz

Age: 43

123 Rochester Street

Berwick, Maine

This investigation began in October of 2017, when the victim reported being sexually assaulted at an assisted living facility in Portsmouth. There have been no reports of further victims and this is an isolated incident.

Cruz was held without bail and the case will be handled through the Rockingham County Attorney’s Office Felonies First program.
