In the fall of 1999, Captain Warchol was promoted to Detective.  He spent the next 3 1/2 years investigating juvenile crimes, domestic violence incidents as well as robberies, burglaries and homicides.  Captain Warchol has received many recognitions especially for his investigative work dealing with Internet Crimes Against Children.  In the summer of 2003, Captain Warchol was promoted to Sergeant and returned as a supervisor in the patrol division where he served in that position for the next 5 years.  In the spring of 2008, Captain Warchol was promoted to Lieutenant where he was placed in charge of Personnel & Training.

Captain Warchol was instrumental in implementing the Drug Free Housing Zones program throughout the City of Portsmouth. He volunteers for nonprofit groups that focus on developmentally disabled children.  He holds a Bachelors of Psychology degree from the University of NH and lives in Portsmouth with his wife and daughter.

"I am extremely happy about being given the opportunity to serve in such an important position to help the Portsmouth Police Dept and my neighbors".

Deputy Chief DuBois has assigned Captain Warchol to serve as the Administration Division Commander that is being vacated by the retirement of Captain Tim Brownell.
